Find Your Path to Recovery. Embrace Healing.
What We Are and How We Work
For young people who are trying to sort out emotional, social, mental health, and other challenges, communal farm life offers the opportunity for a healthy re-set.
The process is led and supported by immersive therapy, where our therapists and other professional staff are “on the ground” working, cooking, hiking, and also relaxing together with participants. Everyone is an integral part of the community. This approach ensures that every experience—from meal prep to farm chore to outings—is an opportunity for personal growth. Living, working, and exploring with participants, our therapeutic staff gains insights that can generalize to many other aspects of life. This immersive environment also allows our staff to capitalize on real-life situations to further the therapeutic process.
Combining compassion and evidence-based methods including CRAFT, 12-steps, DBT, CBT, metacognitive strategies, and more, Holina Free Spirit will help to unpack and untangle the underlying issues that led to substance use, while also addressing unhealthy habits and cravings. We address a wide range of challenges and diagnoses, from mental health issues to school refusal to failure to launch, targeting root causes and helping participants to develop healthy coping tools and empowering life skills.
At the core of Holina Free Spirit lies the transformative power of connection. Participants embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing guided by a dedicated team of professionals who bring together expertise in psychology and trauma work, addiction therapy, counseling, and various holistic modalities. Through individualized treatment plans, immersive group sessions, and therapeutic activities, participants are empowered to transcend their challenges, fostering resilience, self-esteem, and a renewed sense of purpose.
We are not a traditional rehab or 12-step program, and we are not equipped to detox someone who is actively using hard drugs. We are not a therapeutic boarding school or a residential treatment center.
Holina Free Spirit is a unique, safe space for creating positive, lasting change. It is the right place for a 15-23 year-old who:

-

-
